Barker Morris is a Chartered Building Company that is unique in providing specialist Structural Waterproofing design and installation services to Architects, Engineers, Main Contractors, Specialist Basement Contractors, Private Homeowners and Public Authorities.
The company was established by David Barker and Patricia Morris and specialised in the provision of consultancy services within the construction industry. Circumstances identified the need for waterproofing contractors within the professional construction market and Keith Thomas was invited to set up this new venture within the framework of the existing company.
In addition, the growing awareness of the technological advances in waterproofing materials during recent years hastened the move by the company towards the specialised and unique industry position it holds today. As a result, the company is now retained by various leading professional design practices and commercial contracting clients to not only provide initial advice on Structural Waterproofing matters but also to eventually install the most appropriate specialist system identified.
The aim was to build a young, vibrant, company but one that still retains the tried and tested principles of structural waterproofing and client satisfaction.
The strategy was to recruit people with.a practical knowledge of waterproofing who wanted to further their education and qualify to assist in the development of the company. The first addition was Dean Tennant, who had a wealth of practical experience, and fitted the demographic perfectly. A clear career path was set out which has been followed and with much hard work has resulted in Dean being our current managing director.
Barker Morris as a company places great emphasis on theoretical and practical training of all its staff to ensure we keep up with the ever-evolving structural waterproofing industry, maintaining the high standards our clients have become accustomed to.
We specialise in the use of many different systems and materials, with the practical expertise to ensure installation of a robust waterproofing approach meeting the guidance as set by BS8102:2022.
Barker Morris is looking to continually develop its specific expertise and expand its operations still further. Our aim within the next few years is to further establish ourselves as the foremost authority on Structural Waterproofing matters in the UK by continually delivering reliable quality specialist services to all its clients.
